LOAF LIFE TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Pine State Ventures, LLC d/b/a Loaf Life, coworking space, community programs, and related services. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Loaf Life reserves the right to update these Terms at any time with notice to members.
1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Loaf Life provides access to coworking space, meeting rooms, family-friendly work areas, community programming, private event space, and related amenities (collectively, "Services") at our facility located at 256 Main Street, Kingfield, Maine. Membership does not create a tenancy but grants a prepaid license to use designated amenities. All memberships are associated with a paid pass. 
2. MEMBERSHIP AND ACCESS
2.1 Membership Types
Private Office & Dedicated Desk Members: Access to assigned workspace during operating hours
Flexible Members: Access to available workspace on a first-come, first-served basis
Day Pass Users: Single-day access to workspace and common areas
Family Members: Access to family-friendly work pods and children's programming
Private Event Space: Access to event space
2.2 Operating Hours
Standard operating hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday - Friday. Extended access may be available to certain membership levels. Hours may be modified during holidays or special community events. Loaf Life reserves the right to temporarily close the facility with reasonable advance notice to members for necessary repairs, facility improvements, illness-related closures, or pre-scheduled private events. Members will be notified of planned closures at least 48 hours in advance when possible, except in cases of emergency repairs or illness where immediate closure may be necessary.
2.3 Guest Policy
All guests must purchase a day pass to access Loaf Life facilities. Guests must be accompanied by a member during their visit and follow these Terms. Children (18 and under) are welcome in designated family areas when accompanied by a parent or guardian who is a member or day pass holder.
3. ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
3.1 Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use our Services for:
Any unlawful activities or purposes prohibited by federal, state, or local law
Activities that could damage, disable, or interfere with Loaf Life's operations or other members' use
Harassment, discrimination, or behavior that creates an unsafe environment for any person
Commercial activities not directly related to your membership (unless specifically approved)
Storage of hazardous materials or illegal substances
Activities that violate intellectual property rights
Uploading or downloading illegal content on our networks
Any activity that disrupts the peaceful, productive environment we maintain
3.2 Professional Conduct
Members are expected to:
Maintain a professional, respectful environment
Keep noise levels appropriate for a shared workspace
Clean up after themselves in all areas
Respect others' property and workspace
Follow all posted guidelines for equipment use
Report safety concerns or facility issues promptly
3.3 Family and Children Guidelines
When children are present:
Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times
Children must remain in designated family-friendly areas unless participating in organized programming
Quiet activities are encouraged in shared spaces
All toys and materials must be cleaned up after use
Children's safety is the responsibility of their parent/guardian
4. PAYMENT AND BILLING
4.1 Membership Fees
Monthly memberships are billed in advance on the same date each month. Day passes are paid at time of use unless other arrangements are made. All fees are non-refundable but may be applied as credit toward future services at Loaf Life's discretion.
4.2 Late Payments
Accounts past due may result in:
Suspension of access privileges
Late fees of 20% of the overdue amount, applied 5 days after the due date
Termination of membership for accounts more than 30 days past due
4.3 Additional Charges
Variable charges (printing, phone, special events) will be billed monthly. Meeting room rentals and special programming may incur additional fees.
5. TERMINATION
5.1 Termination by Member
Members may terminate by providing written notice to admin@loaf-life.com by the 15th of the month for termination at the following month's end. Failure to provide timely notice extends membership through the following month.
5.2 Termination by Loaf Life
We reserve the right to terminate membership immediately for:
Violation of these Terms
Non-payment of fees
Behavior that threatens safety or disrupts operations
Misuse of facilities or equipment
Upon termination, any unused prepaid amounts will be refunded on a prorated basis after deducting outstanding charges.
6. PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY
6.1 Member Privacy
We respect member privacy and will not share personal information except as required by law or necessary for providing services.
6.2 Confidentiality Obligations
Members may be exposed to confidential information from other members, or Loaf Life operations. Members agree to:
Keep all confidential information strictly confidential
Not disclose confidential information to third parties
Not use confidential information for personal gain
6.3 Photography and Marketing
By using our services, you consent to being photographed or recorded for Loaf Life's marketing and promotional purposes. Please notify staff if you prefer not to be included in such materials.
7. COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING
7.1 Children's Programs
Participation in children's programming requires:
Completed registration and waiver forms
Up-to-date emergency contact information
Compliance with any health or safety requirements
Payment of applicable program fees
7.2 Program Cancellation
Loaf Life reserves the right to cancel programs due to insufficient enrollment, weather, or safety concerns. Refunds will be provided for cancelled programs.
8. SAFETY AND SECURITY
8.1 Personal Property
Loaf Life is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage to personal property. Members are strongly encouraged to obtain renters insurance that covers property at our location.
8.2 Security Measures
Access to certain areas may be controlled by key cards or codes. Members are responsible for:
Keeping access credentials secure
Not sharing access with unauthorized persons
Reporting lost or stolen access credentials immediately
8.3 Emergency Procedures
Members must familiarize themselves with emergency procedures and evacuation routes. In case of emergency, follow posted procedures and staff instructions.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOAF LIFE PROVIDES SERVICES "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. LOAF LIFE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES.
Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid for services in the three months preceding the incident giving rise to liability.
10. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Loaf Life, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
Your use of our services
Your violation of these Terms
Your negligent or intentional acts
Any activities involving your children or guests
11. INSURANCE
Loaf Life maintains general liability and property insurance. Members are strongly encouraged to maintain renters insurance covering their personal property and activities at our location.
12. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through:
Good faith negotiation
Mediation if negotiation fails
Binding arbitration in Maine if mediation fails
13. GENERAL PROVISIONS
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Maine state law.
13.2 Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
13.3 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with your membership agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Loaf Life.
13.4 Community Values
Loaf Life is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment that truly lifts our area's future. We expect all members to contribute positively to our community atmosphere.
